Your Guide to Driving with Grab!

Are you looking to kickstart your PHV journey with Grab? This article is designed to guide you through your journey with us, providing you with all the necessary information to make your experience as a Grab driver-partner smooth and rewarding.

Let’s hit the road together!

1. Getting your PDVL / TDVL

To drive with Grab, you need either a Private Hire Car Driver Vocational License (PDVL) or Taxi Driver Vocational License (TDVL). Plus, we’re now holding PDVL classes at Grab@Tampines! An added benefit is that you’ll get to enjoy a $150 voucher if you choose to rent from GrabRentals after taking the course at Grab@Tampines.

2. Looking to rent a car? Rent with GrabRentals, the largest PHV fleet in Singapore!

What’s next? After you’ve gotten your PDVL / TDVL, you can choose to drive with your own car for Grab, or rent. Don’t have a vehicle? No problem! At GrabRentals, we’ve got you covered. We understand that everyone’s needs are different, which is why we offer flexible solutions to suit your lifestyle.

Car Rental

For those who prefer car rentals, we offer a wide range of options for rent at competitive rates, coupled with flexible contracts. This allows you to start earning immediately without the financial commitment of vehicle ownership. We also offer brand new car models if that’s what you fancy!

Car Ownership Scheme

On the other hand, if owning a vehicle is part of your plan, we have a car ownership scheme with affordable daily rates. This unique scheme allows you to gradually own your vehicle while you earn.

But that’s not all! We also have other programmes designed to benefit our driver-partners:

Car Sharing

Cost conscious? Save up to 50% on rental cost when you share a GrabRentals PHV with another driver-partner near you via Car Sharing!

With this feature, you can expect:

✅ Matching with verified drivers near you
✅ Reduced disputes with coverage against vehicle body damages.
✅ Flexibility and convenience with 1 driver having 1 key each
✅ A hassle-free process with rental deductions from the other driver, and more, all through the app.

Komsan Chiyadis

GrabFood delivery-partner, Thailand

COVID-19 has dealt an unprecedented blow to the tourism industry, affecting the livelihoods of millions of workers. One of them was Komsan, an assistant chef in a luxury hotel based in the Srinakarin area.

As the number of tourists at the hotel plunged, he decided to sign up as a GrabFood delivery-partner to earn an alternative income. Soon after, the hotel ceased operations.

Komsan has viewed this change through an optimistic lens, calling it the perfect opportunity for him to embark on a fresh journey after his previous job. Aside from GrabFood deliveries, he now also picks up GrabExpress jobs. It can get tiring, having to shuttle between different locations, but Komsan finds it exciting. And mostly, he’s glad to get his income back on track.
