I'm an Existing Hirer
You can re-contract a month before your contract end date. For example, if your contract ends in June, you may re-contract from May.
The rental and related charges are deducted from your credit wallet on a daily basis.
An unsuccessful deduction due to insufficient funds may result in restrictions to accept jobs in the driver app. Repeated unsuccessful deductions may result in repossession of your vehicle.
Please ensure sufficient funds to cover the daily deductions to avoid disruptions.
Please call the 24-hour breakdown hotline printed on your car’s decal for towing assistance. The decal is pasted on your car’s windscreen.
Please refer to the decal on your windscreen for the accident reporting hotline.
Termination charges are as follows:
- Forfeiture of deposit
- Full rental charges for the remainder of the period until the end of your rental contract
- Cease award of any payouts and/or rental discounts. Payouts received during the rental period will also be clawed back
The vehicle must be returned in the condition as it was handed to you during collection.
As such, all advertisements and third-party add-ons need to be removed before returning the vehicle or relevant charges may be applied.
GrabRentals hirer-partners who are Covid positive may claim rental waivers from GrabRentals ONLY if they’re under GRBeyond Add-On Program. The number of MC Rental Recovery Days you can claim is as follows:
3 Months Contract – 1 Day MC Rental Recovery Day
6 Months Contract – 3 Days MC Rental Recovery Day
12 Months Contract – 6 Days MC Rental Recovery Day

- Fuel Vouchers (Caltex Starcash card) –
- Fuel purchases paid with Starcash cards shall not be entitled to any site discounts or discounts programs. Such discounts shall apply only to the outstanding amount payable, if any, in excess of the stored value amount in the Starcash card.
- The fuel vouchers will be ready for collection 2 months from the vehicle collection date.
- GRNavigate Loyalty Program is only applicable to GrabRentals hirers who are renting a car from Grab Rentals Pte Ltd and who are not under any Ownership scheme administered by Grab Rentals Pte Ltd.
- While on a No-Frills contract, the Hirer will not be entitled to any ongoing and upcoming GrabRentals-related benefit programs e.g. rebates & any other similar initiatives, unless otherwise permitted by GrabRentals.
- The hirer’s full deposit will be fully forfeited for cancellation of car reservation.
- Upon the end of the minimum rental period, the hirer may return the car as long as he/she provides at least 7 working days notice by submitting the online car return form (https://www.grab.com/sg/vehicle-return/). Kindly note that the return slots are subjected to availability and booked on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Upon the end of the minimum rental period (including contracts which are considered as ‘no-contract’ or ‘open contract’), GrabRentals reserves the right to increase rental rates, or recall the vehicle. The hirer will be given 2-weeks advance notice regarding this to allow sufficient time to return the car on his/her own, if needed.
- Failure to complete the minimum rental period may result in the clawback of bonuses or rental rebates etc that were issued.
