Cebuanos now have the freedom to choose the way they travel. Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing platform, is bringing GrabCar to Cebu, giving Cebuanos more options to get to their desired destination.
GrabCar, the company’s chauffeured private car service, is now made available for Cebuanos, offering them a wide array of commuting solutions to bring them wherever they want to go.
During a press conference held at the SM Seaside Cebu, Grab Philippines’ Country Head Brian Cu said that as Metro Cebu steadily grows, the transportation needs of the public grow with it as well.
“As transportation serves as catalyst toward sustained development and improvement of people’s quality of life, Grab is committed in making transportation readily available to Cebuanos by offering alternatives to existing transport services. GrabCar is a car-booking app that revolutionizes the way you move by sending a private vehicle along your way at the tap of a button,” Cu said.
Cu said that Grab offers Cebuano passengers hassle-free riding options around the metro by offering them GrabTaxi and GrabCar (Sedan).
GrabCar enables passengers to commute within their comfort zones, especially during rush hour. With this service, they can enjoy the exclusivity, comfort and reliability of a private car.
Tired of metered fares? For GrabCar, once the passenger has placed their pick-up and drop-off locations, the Grab app automatically computes the fares at fixed rates, no need for fare shock.
Backed up with GPS technology, GrabCar need not necessarily follow the usual, congested route. It works by getting around congested roads and hazards, going through the fastest possible way to the drop-off point.
To ensure the safety of their rides, Cu added that once a passenger is matched with a driver, the passengers can see their driver’s name, license plate number, and photo, so they know who’s picking them up ahead of time. GrabCar drivers go through a rigorous screening process and safety trainings for their own benefit aside from the passengers’.
Aside from GrabCar, Grab also launched its transport and management expense system, Grab for Work.
“Logistics and mobility is a big aspect in managing a business, and Grab wants every Cebuano firm to consider Grab for Work as their partner in accomplishing this critical corporate task. After its successful debut in Manila, we now offer the same innovation to companies based here in Cebu.,” Cu said.
With the recent launch of these new services, Cebuano passengers will get to enjoy PHP 100 off on 5 GrabCar rides when they use the promo code CEBU until July 31. To avail of the discount, passengers just need to follow these steps:
- Open the Grab app.
- Tap the GrabCar icon from the list of services.
- Input the pickup and drop-off points.
- Input “CEBU” as promo code.
- Confirm booking.
