VISA Promo FAQs

Good news Grabbers! We partnered with VISA Philippines and this means extra perks for VISA cardholders.

Aside from the safe, secure and hassle-free transactions GrabPay passengers get, VISA cardholders are entitled to get special promos and discounts. Register your VISA card now!

Please see the FAQs below:

  1. How does it work and how do I sign up?
  • Open up the app and click on the Menu bar at the top left corner of your screen
  • Click on the Payment Methods tab for Android or the GrabPay tab for iPhone, and select +Add New Debit/ Credit Card
  • Fill in your debit or credit card information and verify details
  • Upon booking, select the card option before confirming your request
  • Select your pick-up and drop-off points
  • A fixed fare is shown upon request- no surprise charges!
  • You will see a pop-up message at the end of your ride that notifies you of the charges made on your card
  1. Are both credit and debit cards accepted?
  • Yes.
  1. Can I register more than one credit card?
  • Yes.
  1. How do I avail of the Visa promo?
  • Just register your Visa card and make sure it is your payment method upon booking!
  1. What type of cards are accepted for the promo?
  • Debit and credit Visa cardholders only.
  1. Can I make partial payments on GrabPay trips with cash and vice versa?
  • Partial payments are not possible for BOTH cash and GrabPay transactions.
  1. Does this promo also apply for Cash transactions?
  • Nope, only available for GrabPay.
  1. Why doesn’t the promo work even if I used GrabPay?
  • Kindly make sure that your debit or credit card is under Visa.
  1. What if I am a regular Grabber and my form of payment is through my non-Visa Credit Card.  Can I change my registered card to my Visa card to avail of the promo?
  • Yes, you can register more than one debit or credit card in your account. Just be sure to switch your payment method to your Visa card to avail of the promo
  1. Why doesn’t the promo work even if I used GrabPay?
  • Kindly make sure that your debit or credit card is under Visa.
  1. What is the promo code for the discount?
  • Promo code is GRABVISA.
  1. Who are entitled to the promotion?
  • The promo is only valid for Visa cardholders

*If there is a passenger complaint that their GrabPay fare was not discounted, we will do a refund immediately or cancel that particular credit card transaction, if proven true.
