GrabMart Embraces Valentine’s Day with “Delivering Love in 25 Minutes” Campaign

Grab Thailand welcomes the month of love with the “GrabMart’s Delivering Love in 25 Minutes” campaign, emphasizing its moment marketing strategy by collaborating with leading brands and merchant-partners to offer a wide range of Valentine’s Day gifts on GrabMart with discounts of up to 25%. Grab has also revealed the top 5 best-selling product categories during Valentine’s, where roses remain the top items Thais use to show love to their loved ones, with sales on GrabMart growing up to 9 times. Additionally, condoms are among the hot items sold on February 14, with a 30% growth in sales compared to regular days.

Panomkorn Jirasatienpong, Head of Marketing at Grab Thailand, commented, “Thailand’s consumer spending mood during key festivals remains upbeat, from New Year’s* to the Chinese New Year**. Despite consumers being cautious about spending due to economic uncertainty, holiday spending is anticipated to surge. This boost is attributed to the government’s economic stimulus measures and aggressive marketing spending, especially among retail businesses.”

“This year, GrabMart continues to prioritize the ‘moment marketing’ strategy. We’ve analyzed users’ insights and purchasing behaviors, particularly during festivals, to ensure we offer the right products and services that cater to these occasions. Valentine’s Day holds special significance for Thais, especially for Gen Z and millennials, who express affection through gift-giving and dining out. As a result, we have partnered with leading brands, retailers, and local merchant-partners to launch the ‘GrabMart’s Delivering Love in 25 Minutes’ campaign. This initiative enables users to swiftly deliver Valentine’s gifts to their partners or loved ones through GrabMart within just 25 minutes. The campaign offers discounts of up to 25% by simply entering the code ‘VDAY’, with a minimum purchase of 600 baht, available from today until February 14th.”

Grab has also disclosed the top 5 best-selling categories on GrabMart during the month of love, comprising flower bouquets, gifts or gift sets, chocolates, beauty products & cosmetics, and garlands & sacrificial offerings. Roses continue to reign as the top-selling love-themed item, with sales soaring up to 9 times*** higher than usual. Furthermore, condoms stand out as another sought-after item, especially on February 14th, experiencing a sales surge of over 30%****.

“To infuse vibrancy into the campaign, we’ve enlisted influencers, namely Chrrissa ‘Erk’ Chotijirasathit and Pumpkin, alongside Grab delivery-partners adorned with cupid wings, to spread love by distributing roses and Valentine’s cards to users across Bangkok before the Valentine’s Day. Additionally, GrabFood is launching a special campaign to delight couples in love by offering deals and discounts of up to 50% for its Dine-in services at participating restaurants,” added Panomkorn.
