Bangkok, 4 March 2019 – AirAsia partners with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) under the campaign ‘Weekday Travel Wonders’ and invites tourists to travel with ease with Grab. AirAsia passengers flying to 3 destinations; Chiang Mai, Phuket and Hat Yai will get THB300 discount per ride coupon for Grab ‘Rent’, a car rental service with personal driver. The offer applies to all weekday flights from Monday through Thursday during 15 February to 31 March 2019.

The ‘Weekday Travel Wonders’ campaign by the Tourism Authority of Thailand aims to encourage Thais to travel more during weekdays and turn weekdays into special days to boost the local economics and spending. AirAsia partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand under the campaign to step up the transportation options and provide travellers with more convenience by choosing Grab’s ride hailing application. This provides tourists with the option to travel seamlessly with ease through Grab’s ‘Rent’, a car rental service with personal driver. Travellers can get to multiple destinations all in one trip, making the weekday travel experience hassle-free and easier than ever.

The campaign is also a continued collaboration of Grab with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to promote local tourism, boost the economics and distribute more income to the wider regions of Thailand. Under the previous campaign ‘GrabXi’, Grab users were able to enjoy authentic, local travel experience in 25 local community attractions in 5 cities including Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani (Samui). The campaign is a part of Grab’s mission to improve the livelihood and income of the people and support Thailand’s sustainable development.
