Comprehensive Southeast Asia post-pandemic travel restrictions, advisories and entry requirements

The Lion City opens its gates to tourists, with simplified COVID-19 measures and waived quarantine for fully-vaccinated tourists. Masks are now optional indoors and outdoors, but are mandatory on public transport and in healthcare facilities, residential care homes and ambulances.

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Entry visas are not required for visitors who are citizens of Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam or Thailand. 
• Flight tickets to Singapore and accommodation information to show passport control. 
• Acknowledgement or travel waiver from your country of origin, if applicable.
• Masking is required indoors and optional outdoors.

Travel entry requirements for vaccinated travellers
These include fully vaccinated travellers born in 2009 (aged 13 and above) or children born in or after 2010 (aged 12 and below).

• Children born in or after 2010 may enter Singapore regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. 
• Visitors born in or before 2009 must be fully vaccinated with a WHO EUL vaccine (at least one dose of Janssen/J&J, or at least 2 doses of AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Moderna/Spikevax, Covishield, Novavax, Pfizer/BioNTech/COMIRNATY, Sinovac or Sinopharm). Mixtures and boosters of these vaccines are also accepted. Please note that for most WHO EUL vaccines, vaccination status lapses after 270 days. A booster must be taken within five months to maintain fully vaccinated status. 
• Proof of vaccination using a Digitally Verifiable Vaccination Certificate (DVC) must be uploaded to the Vaccination Check Portal (for foreign visitors) or retrieved through the TraceTogether app (for Singapore residents).  
• In cases where a DVC is unavailable or unverifiable, a physical vaccination certificate accompanied by a notarised English translation with the name of the traveller (same as in the passport), date of birth and passport number, name of vaccine(s) administered and vaccination dates may be shown upon entry to Singapore. Tourists may also refer to this troubleshooting guide for re-uploading the DVC. A common mistake is uploading the domestic version of the vaccine certificate rather than the international/travel version. Coordinate with your local health authorities to retrieve the international vaccine certificates – in some countries these may be issued by different departments or bureaus. The TraceTogether app will temporarily reflect visitors’ vaccine status for 30 days upon successful submission. 
• Registered profile on the TraceTogether app.
• Submission of SG Arrival Card and e-health declaration form to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website three days before arriving in Singapore. An email acknowledgment will be sent upon submission, which can be used for easier pre-boarding and immigration checks. 
• Foreign visitors will be issued an electronic Visit Pass (e-Pass) indicating the period of stay upon submission of the SGAC. Passports will no longer be stamped. The e-Pass can be retrieved from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website. 
• Optional: certificate of Yellow Fever vaccination if the traveller has recently visited a Yellow Fever high risk country or region in Africa or Latin America.

Travel entry requirements for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated visitors will only be granted entry to Singapore on exceptional circumstances, such as a death in the family. This category includes travellers born on or before 2009 who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including those who took non-WHO EUL vaccines or did not complete the full dosage of WHO EUL vaccines), those who are medically exempted from COVID-19 vaccines and those who recovered from COVID-19 but did not complete the minimum dosage of WHO EUL vaccines.

• Entry approval using the Safe Travel Office Application Portal. Note that entry approval is waived for Singapore citizens or permanent residents. Entry approval is waived for long-term pass holders only until 1 July 2022. For short-term visitors entering the country for exceptional circumstances, additional supporting documents (such as a doctor’s certificate or death certificate) are also required. 
• Acknowledgement or travel waiver from your country of origin, if applicable.
• COVID-19 pre-departure test within two days before departing for Singapore. This requirement is waived if you tested positive for COVID within 14-90 days before your departure. Check this tool to know if the pre-departure test can be waived.  
• Stay Home Notice (SHN) accommodation – non-fully vaccinated individuals must serve a seven-day Stay Home Notice upon arrival. 
• Private transportation to the SHN accommodation via taxi or Grab.
• Negative COVID-19 test after serving SHN. 
• Download the TraceTogether app for contact tracing and to show vaccination status using Vaccination-Differentiated Settings.
• Optional: Travel insurance worth SGD30,000 for visitors without the Singapore Long-Term Pass. While optional, this is highly encouraged since travellers who fall ill while visiting Singapore must cover their health costs. Travellers can purchase travel insurance via the Grab app.

On 1 April 2022, Malaysia opened its borders as the country officially transitioned to the endemic phase of COVID-19 and removed most travel restrictions. From 1 May 2022, all fully-vaccinated tourists and children aged 17 and below no longer need to take pre-departure and on-arrival COVID-19 tests. COVID-19 insurance is also no longer required for tourists entering the country. Find out what you need to travel to this diverse country of bustling urban centres and stunning coastal landscapes.

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Entry visas are not required for travellers who are citizens of Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam or Thailand. 
• Valid return or forward ticket. 
• Proof of sufficient funds to cover duration of stay in Malaysia. You may present cash, traveller’s cheques or credit/debit cards to immigration or passport control.
• Address of residence for the duration of stay in Malaysia. 
• Acknowledgement or travel waiver from your country of origin, if applicable.
• Effective 4 July 2022, Malaysian citizens no longer need to fill in their Traveller’s Pass details on the MySejahtera application before entering Malaysia.
• Masking: Face masks are required in all indoor spaces and public transport. Airlines such as AirAsia prohibit face masks with exhalation or breathing valves onboard. 

Travel entry requirements for vaccinated travellers

• Tourists aged 17 and below may enter Malaysia regardless of vaccine status and do not need to take pre-departure and arrival COVID-19 tests, though they will still need to download and activate the MySejahtera app.
• For vaccinated travellers aged 18 and above: confirm your vaccine status as this will impact your travel requirements at MySafeTravel.
  • Those who took Sinovac, Sinopharm, Covishield, Novavax and Sputnik V are considered fully vaccinated at 3 doses. For ages 18 to 59, two doses of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covaxin and Covishield are considered fully vaccinated, while an additional dose is recommended for age 60 and over. One dose is needed for Johnson & Johnson for ages 18 to 59 and two doses for age 60 and above.
• Verify the COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate at MySafeTravel. Aside from WHO EUL vaccines, Malaysia also accepts vaccines approved for use in the traveller’s home country by their local regulatory agency. 
• Download the contact-tracing and vaccine passport app MySejahtera prior to departing for Malaysia. 
• For foreign travellers: On the MySejahtera app, find the Traveller icon and fill up the Digital Pre-Departure Form (DPDF). This form contains critical health information and must be completed before check-in to be able to board the flight.
  • Fully-vaccinated tourists will be issued a Digital Traveller’s Card reflected on the MySejahtera app (blue card).
  • Visitors without traveller cards on their MySejahtera app will be tagged as high-risk and will not be allowed to travel to Malaysia. 
• Tourists who have recovered from COVID-19 must be fully vaccinated and present proof that they recovered from the virus within 6 to 60 days of their departure to Malaysia, in print or digital format. They do not need to undergo any pre-departure or on arrival COVID-19 tests.  
• The same requirements apply for those travelling from Singapore to Malaysia under the Vaccinated Travel Framework. 
• Keep the MySejahtera app activated at all times and show app status to be allowed entry in shops and other facilities. 

Travel entry requirements for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers

• For foreign travellers: On the MySejahtera app, find the Traveller icon and fill up the Digital Pre-Departure Form (DPDF). This form contains critical health information and must be completed before check-in to be able to board the flight.
  • Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers will be issued a five-day Digital Home Surveillance Order (HSO) (red card). 
  • Visitors without traveller cards on their MySejahtera app, HSO instructions or tagged as high-risk will not be allowed to travel to Malaysia.
• Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals aged 18 and above must undergo a professionally administered RTK-Antigen or RT-PCR test two days before departing for Malaysia and an RTK-Antigen test administered by a Ministry of Health-approved facility within 24 hours of landing in Malaysia. 
• Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated tourists must serve the five-day HSO at a pre-booked accommodation upon their arrival. Accommodations may be booked here. 
• Travellers may take an RT-PCR on Day 4 of their quarantine or a professionally administered RTK-Antigen test on Day 5. They may leave quarantine upon receipt of a negative test result but must serve an additional five days if the test results are positive. 
• Travellers must also submit the address of their residence for the duration of their stay in Malaysia. 
• Keep the MySejahtera app activated at all times and show app status to be allowed entry in shops and other facilities.

As of April 2022, Indonesian authorities re-implemented the Free Visit Visa scheme for tourism purposes, applicable to citizens of Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, who can now conveniently visit and enjoy what Indonesia has to offer without many travel restrictions. 

A pre-departure PCR test is no longer needed for all visitors. However, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated visitors must receive mandatory vaccination upon arrival in Indonesia. Read on to know what you need to prepare if you are planning to visit Indonesia. 

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Free Visit Visa for tourism: this is applicable to passport holders from nine ASEAN countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam who are travelling for leisure or government duties related to international activities. The Free Visit Visa is valid for 30 days and is available through these entry points only: Bali (DPS), Jakarta (CGK), Surabaya (SUB), Medan (KNO), Makassar (UPG), Manado (MDC), Yogyakarta (YIA), Batam (BTH) and Lombok (LOP). 
• To avail of the Free Visit Visa, the traveller must present:
  • A passport with a minimum validity of at least six months.
  • Return ticket to their home country or a ticket to another country of destination.
  • For visitors on government business, an invitation letter to attend conferences or meetings issued by the appropriate government body of the Republic of Indonesia must be presented. 
• Visitors staying longer than 30 days on leisure or government business of an international nature can apply for a Visa on Arrival, which may be extended for a maximum period of 60 days and is available at the same entry airports described above. Entry requirements are the same, but visitors must prepare IDR500,000 (USD35) as payment for the visa application. 
• Travellers may also apply for the Free Visa and Visa on Arrival prior to departure using the e-Visa.  
• Masking: As of 8 June, all international travellers are expected to wear a mask in all indoor and outdoor public places. 

Travel entry requirements for vaccinated travellers

• Negative pre-departure PCR test is no longer required for fully vaccinated visitors. 
• Download and register on the PeduliLindungi app before departure. The app stores COVID-19 vaccination certificates and test status. It even provides colour-coded COVID-19 user status – useful when venturing into crowded areas.  
• Proof of vaccination status – a physical and digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing completion of vaccination dose 14 days prior departure (at least two doses and/or a booster (third) vaccine for most vaccine types. Indonesia accepts all vaccines). The certificate must be in English and show the types of vaccines and dates taken. This is applicable for tourists 18 years and above. 
• Travellers under the age of 18 are exempted from showing proof of vaccination and may enter the country if they are travelling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians. 
• Those who have recovered from COVID-19 within 30 days prior to departure to Indonesia must present, in addition to their vaccination certificate and negative pre-departure PCR test, a medical certificate from their government hospital or national health department showing their full recovery and that they are no longer transmitting the virus.  
• Arrival PCR test and quarantine is not required for fully vaccinated visitors. However, if they exhibit symptoms (such as body temperature above 37.5C) during the health checkpoint, they must take a PCR test at their own expense. The expense is waived for Indonesian nationals. Travellers must wait at their accommodations and are not allowed to leave while waiting for the PCR test result.
  • Tourists who have a negative test result are free to continue their travels, while those with a positive PCR test result will either be sent to an isolation facility (for asymptomatic or mild symptoms) or at an appointed hospital (for those exhibiting moderate to severe symptoms). This is free for Indonesian nationals but must be paid for by foreign visitors. 

Travel entry requirements for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers

• No pre-departure test is required for all partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers.
• Download and register on the PeduliLindungi app before departure. The app stores COVID-19 vaccination certificates and test status. 
• Unvaccinated tourists over the age of 18 who are taking an international flight out of Indonesia do not need to show COVID-19 vaccination certificate as long as they do not leave the airport while waiting for their flight. They must show flight tickets showing direct transit to the final destination city. Those who must carry out domestic trips with the intent of continuing their flight out of Indonesia must obtain approval from the local Port Health Office. 
• Partially or unvaccinated travellers are required to undergo 5 x 24 hours of quarantine with mandatory PCR test on day 4.
• Adult travellers over the age of 18 who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, including returning Indonesians, must be vaccinated upon arrival in Indonesia through governing laws of mutual cooperation. 
• The mandatory vaccination is waived for visitors aged 6 to 17 years old. However, these children under 18 years of age must follow the same quarantine procedures of their parents or guardians.
• Those with medical conditions or comorbidities who cannot receive the COVID-19 vaccine must present a medical certificate from their country of origin’s state department hospital. 
• Arrival PCR test is required for travellers if they show symptoms or a body temperature above 37.5 Celsius during their health check. Upon receipt of a negative test result, they will be vaccinated upon arrival or during their quarantine period.
  • Five-day quarantine is required for all unvaccinated and partially vaccinated visitors. Visitors who have a positive PCR test result upon arrival will either be sent to an isolation facility (for asymptomatic or mild symptoms) or at an appointed hospital (for those exhibiting moderate to severe symptoms). This is free for Indonesian nationals but must be paid for by foreign travellers. Those with negative test results may proceed to their quarantine facility. Check out approved quarantine accommodations in Jakarta and Surabaya.

As of May 2022, the government of Thailand waived Sandbox and Test-and-Go requirements in favour of a No-Quarantine program for fully vaccinated tourists. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated visitors can still travel to Thailand, subject to a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test. Masks can be removed in low-risk areas such as open-air spaces but not all travel restrictions have been expunged. Read on to know what to prepare to visit Thailand. 

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Foreigners from 64 countries under the Visa Exemption rule can enter Thailand strictly for tourism purposes without a visa for 30 days, generally. This includes passport holders from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. Cambodia passport holders may stay for a maximum of 14 days. 
• To meet the Visa Exemption criteria, passport holders must have a confirmed flight ticket to show they are flying out of Thailand within 30 days of entry. The country also accepts overland travel by bus or train to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia (including en-route to Singapore) as proof of exiting Thailand within 30 days. Those who cannot show proof of exit will not be allowed entry. 
• Travellers may also be asked to show proof that they have funds of at least THB10,000 per person for the duration of their stay in the country. 
• As of 1 July, Thailand passport holders and foreign visitors no longer need to register with Thailand Pass to enter the country. They only need to present either their vaccination certificate (for fully vaccinated travellers) or a negative RT-PCR/RTK test issued 72 hours before departure (for partially / unvaccinated travellers). There will also be random checks for vaccination certificates or COVID-19 test results. 
• Once the visitor has secured their flights and hotel accommodations, print out the following requirements to streamline entry into Thai passport control:
  • Hotel booking confirmation.
  • Vaccination certificate.
  • Negative pre-departure RT-PCR test, for unvaccinated/partially vaccinated travellers.
  • COVID-19 recovery certificate (if previously tested positive).
  • TM6 (Blue card given in-flight).
  • TM8 (Health Declaration Form).
• Masking: Masks are required outdoors and on public transportation. In Phuket, masks are required in all public spaces, including inside resorts and hotels. 
• Optional: Visitors are encouraged to purchase COVID-19 travel insurance starting from 1 July 2022.

Travel entry requirements for vaccinated travellers

• Vaccination certificate for fully-vaccinated visitors:
  • A certificate of full (two doses) vaccination. Accepted vaccines include CoronaVac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen (one dose only), Moderna, Sinopharm, SputnikV, Covaxin, Novavax, Covovax, Medigen, Turkovac and Erucov-Vac. Print out a hard copy and present this to Passport Control. 

Travel entry requirements for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers

• A negative RT-PCR or Professional RTK (not self-administered) test issued within 72 hours before travelling. A soft or hard copy should also be presented at Passport Control. Quarantine upon arrival is no longer required.
• Unvaccinated children may be required to have a negative COVID test.
• Unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated travellers who are randomly checked and who are unable to show proof of a pre-arrival negative test will be required to undergo a professional ATK test at the point of entry.

Vietnam reopened its borders to international tourism on 15 March 2022. Negative COVID-19 pre-departure tests are no longer required as of 15 May 2022. 

Vietnam continues to implement travel restrictions from time to time to avoid surges from emerging variants of the virus. Travel requirements can change at any time. Make sure to check with the Vietnamese embassy in your home country before making plans. 

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Vietnam has reinstated visa-free entry for a handful of countries, including its neighbours in ASEAN. Philippine passport holders may stay for a maximum of 21 days while those from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand may stay for a maximum of 30 days. 
• Those who need to stay longer may apply for a visa extension upon arrival in Vietnam. 
• Return tickets to your home country are needed for non-Vietnamese nationals.
• Proof of valid medical/travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment, with a minimum coverage of USD10,000. 
• Download the PC-COVID health monitoring app, which tourists must present to enter establishments in Vietnam. 
• Travellers can enter Vietnam regardless of vaccination status, since proof of vaccination is no longer needed to enter the country. 
• While in Vietnam, authorities ask tourists to self-monitor for 10 days and immediately report to the nearest medical facility and call Vietnam’s health hotline 1900 3228, if they experience any COVID-19 symptoms.
• Travellers must abide by Vietnam’s Ministry of Health’s 4K guidelines while in the country: khau trang (face masks), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distancing) and khong tu tap (no gatherings). The government also requires visitors to follow sensible precautions as laid out by the World Health Organisation. 
• Masking: masks are required in public spaces.

With more than 7,600 tropical islands to choose from, paradise is never far from any point in the Philippines. 

The Philippines allows leisure or business visitors from more than 150 countries to travel to the country without a visa for a maximum of 30 days, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. 

From 1 February 2022, fully vaccinated visitors no longer need to be quarantined upon arrival and are instead asked to self-monitor symptoms for seven days. As of 1 June 2022, a negative pre-departure RT-PCR test is waived for fully vaccinated travellers with at least one booster shot, and travellers under the age of 12, regardless of vaccination status, as long as they are travelling with fully vaccinated adults. Current travel guidelines do not allow travellers who are unvaccinated, partially unvaccinated or cannot show acceptable proof of vaccination to enter the country. The only exceptions are Filipino passport holders, foreign diplomats, dignitaries, members of the foreign service and their delegation, who must undergo a period of quarantine upon arrival in the Philippines. 

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Visa-free entry is allowed for citizens of Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam for a period not exceeding 30 days, provided that they:
  • Hold a passport valid for at least six more months. 
  • Have return tickets to their home country or forward tickets to their next destination.
  • These entry requirements are waived for Filipino citizens, former Filipinos and their dependents, permanent residents and holders of other special visa categories.
• Completed Arrival Card and Customs Declaration Form given by the flight attendant during the flight to the Philippines. 
• Masking: Masks are required indoors and outdoors but may be removed for indoor dining. Face shields are required along with face masks for high-risk activities involving the 3Cs: Close, Crowded and Close Contact. 

Travel entry requirements for vaccinated travellers

• Visitors are considered fully vaccinated if they received a two-dose series or a single dose vaccine for more than 14 days prior to departure from their country of origin. The following are considered acceptable vaccine types: Pfizer / Comirnaty, AstraZeneca, CoronaVac (Sinovac), Sputnik V, Janssen, Covaxin, Moderna, Sinopharm, Covovax, WHO EUL vaccines. 
• Proof of vaccination. National or state digital vaccination certificates can be uploaded to VaxCertPH for Filipino nationals. Citizens of countries who accept VaxCertPH under reciprocal agreement, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, may present their national COVID-19 vaccination certificate. The World Health Organisation International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis (WHO ICV) is also accepted. Bring a hard copy of this proof of vaccination. 
• Fill up the official health declaration form by registering to OneHealthPass e-HDC at least three days before departure. All tourists, including children, must have an OHP registration. Be sure to save the transaction number. It will also be sent to the registered email address. 
• Update the OHP registration on the day of departure with seat number and health declaration. Input the transaction number and the traveller’s last name. Save and print out the generated QR code. Visitors must present this QR code and vaccination certificate upon arrival in the Philippines. 
• A negative PCR test within 48 hours, or a supervised laboratory-based rapid antigen negative test result administered and certified by a healthcare professional within 24 hours need to be presented by fully vaccinated travellers (aged 18 and above) who have received the primary series COVID-19 vaccine, but without a booster shot.
  • Fully vaccinated travellers aged between 12 to 17 who have received the primary series COVID-19 vaccine are exempted from the pre-departure PCR test.
  • Fully recovered travellers who are of Filipino nationality will be allowed entry into the Philippines if their pre-departure PCR test is positive with the submission of documents below:
    • Positive PCR test taken not earlier than 10 days but not later than 30 days prior to date and time of departure from country of origin/ port of embarkation.
    • Positive PCR test taken within forty-eight (48) hours prior to date and time of departure from country of origin/first port of embarkation, in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding layovers, provided, the passenger has not left the airport premises or was not admitted into another country during such layover.
    • Medical certificate issued by licensed physician stating that the Filipino: (i) was asymptomatic, mild, moderate, severe or critical case of COVID-19, as the case may be; (ii) has completed the mandatory isolation period; (iii) is no longer infectious; and; (iv) has been allowed free movement and travel.
  • Fully recovered foreign travellers who are not of Filipino nationality will not be allowed entry into the Philippines if their pre-departure PCR test is positive.

Travel entry requirements for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers

• Foreign visitors who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or cannot show acceptable proof of vaccination are not allowed to travel to the Philippines. 
• The only partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers allowed into the Philippines are Filipino citizens and foreign diplomats, dignitaries, holders of foreign service positions and members of their delegation. 
• Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers must take a professional or laboratory-administered negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure, or a negative antigen or ART test taken within 24 hours of departure (not self-administered). Bring a hard copy of the test results.
  • Children aged 12 and below are exempt from presenting a negative RT-PCR pre-departure test but must follow the same quarantine protocols as their adult guardians.
  • Travellers who tested positive on their pre-departure PCR or antigen test will not be allowed entry into the Philippines. 
  • Fully recovered Filipino travellers will be allowed entry into the Philippines if their pre-departure PCR test is positive with the submission of documents below:
    • Positive PCR test taken not earlier than 10 days but not later than 30 days prior to date and time of departure from country of origin/ port of embarkation.
    • Positive PCR test taken within forty-eight (48) hours prior to date and time of departure from country of origin/first port of embarkation, in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding layovers, provided, the passenger has not left the airport premises or was not admitted into another country during such layover.

• Filipino children below the age of 12 who cannot be vaccinated must follow the quarantine protocols of the Filipino parent/s travelling with them. Foreign children under 17 years old must follow the classification and procedures designated for their vaccination status. Foreign or Filipino parents may accompany their children during quarantine.
  • These travellers will be quarantined upon arrival in the Philippines. Select accredited quarantine hotels from this list. 
  • An RT-PCR test is scheduled on the fifth day of quarantine. Filipino citizens who test negative are free to leave; foreign diplomats and officials must complete the entire 14-day mandatory quarantine period, regardless of test results.

With over 90% of its 16 million population vaccinated against COVID-19, the Kingdom of Cambodia has relaxed its entry requirements and travel restrictions, ready to gather tourists once again into its safe and warm embrace. As of 23 March 2022, the requirement for a negative RT-PCR test 72 hours before departure to Cambodia and the antigen rapid test (ART) upon arrival for fully vaccinated travellers has been waived. Quarantine has also been waived for all individuals regardless of their vaccination status.  

Travel entry requirements for all travellers

• Holders of passports from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam can visit Cambodia without a visa for up to 30 days. Visitors with Thailand passports may stay in Cambodia for up to 14 days. For longer stays, travellers may apply online for a Cambodian visa. Visa requirements can change quickly, so please check the e-Visa site frequently for updates.  
• Acknowledgement or travel waiver from your country of origin, if applicable.
• Masking: In Cambodia, both residents and visitors must abide by the Three Do’s and Three Don’ts:
  • Do wear a mask, wash hands regularly and maintain physical distancing of 1.5 metres. 
  • Don’t linger in confined and enclosed spaces, don’t go to crowded spaces and avoid touching each other.

Travel entry requirements for vaccinated travellers

• For fully-vaccinated adults over 18: Recognised hard copy proof of vaccination with the types and dates of vaccinations taken, preferably with QR code, to be presented to authorities upon entry to Cambodia. Travellers under 18 need not show proof of vaccination upon entry to the country.
• Optional: COVID-19 travel and health insurance covering up to USD50,000 from Forte Insurance is encouraged for fully vaccinated visitors.
• Optional: While the antigen rapid test is no longer required upon arrival, visitors are highly encouraged to self-test while in Cambodia. 

Travel entry requirements for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers

• COVID-19 travel and health insurance covering up to USD50,000 from Forte Insurance is mandatory for partial or unvaccinated tourists of all ages.
• As of 11 July, partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers (including partially or unvaccinated children under 18) no longer need to quarantine upon arrival.
• • However, all travellers are required to take an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at USD 5 upon arrival.
