- Why are there TWO (2) different Grab apps?
- Grab (MyTeksi) carries the old branding which has been deprecated since 2016. Moving forward, you can use a single Grab app to get around in 7 countries across the region – Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Myanmar!
- How do I know which app am I currently using?
- If your app shows “Grab (MyTeksi)”, you need to download the Grab app that DOES NOT have the “MyTeksi” wording.
- If you app only shows “Grab”, you are on the right app!
- What do I need to do to get on the new Grab app?
- Go to Google Play Store / Apple App Store and search for “Grab”
- Download the “Grab” App before 31 July 2017
- Uninstall the “Grab (MyTeksi)” app
- Why is Grab doing this?
- The new Grab App will be home to newer, better and faster features to keep you moving within Malaysia and in Southeast Asia.
- What happens if I use the Grab (MyTeksi) app before 30 JULY 2017.
- Tapping on “Download Grab Now” will bring you to the Android Play Store or Apple App Store to download Grab app.
- Tapping on “Next Time” will allow you to enter the app to continue to make bookings. However, please be informed that the app will stop working after 30th July 2017!
- What happens if I use the Grab (MyTeksi) app on or after 31 JULY 2017 (MONDAY).
- You will not be able to make bookings on the app.
- You must uninstall Grab (MyTeksi) app and proceed to download the Grab app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to continue enjoying Grab’s services.
- Can I use the Grab (MyTeksi) app after 31 JULY 2017 (MONDAY)
- No, you will not be able to book rides on the Grab (MyTeksi) app from 31st July 2017 onwards. Please download the Grab app on Google Play Store or Apple App Store to continue using our services.
- I am a Grab (MyTeksi) user, and I have registered via mobile number, do I need to register my mobile number again with the new Grab App?
- Yes, as a security measure, you will need to go through the registration/activation process again.
- I am a Grab (MyTeksi) user, and I have registered via my Facebook or Google account. Do I need to register my account with the new Grab app?
- You must login using the same Facebook or Google account as the one used on Grab (MyTeksi).
- I am a Grab (MyTeksi) user and I have started using the Grab app. Will I still be able to see my ride history?
- Yes, you will be able to see your ride history in the Grab app.
- I am a Grab (MyTeksi) user and I have started using the Grab app. Will I still be able to see my Rewards point history?
- Yes, you will be able to see your Rewards history in the Grab app.
- I am a Grab (MyTeksi) user and I have started using the Grab app. Do I need to fill in my credit / debit card details once again?
- Yes, as a security measure. You need to fill in your credit / debit card details again so that your account is secure.
- When I add my credit / debit card details, why am I being charged for RM1 pre-authorization fee?
- The RM1 pre-authorization fee is a standard charge for security purposes. The fee will be refunded immediately.
- What if I don’t remember how I registered my account?
- Please contact our customer service at 1-300-80-5858 and they will be able to assist you.
- Why can’t I just update the Grab (MyTeksi) app?
- This is not a software update. You need to uninstall the Grab (MyTeksi) app and download the Grab app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- I have TWO (2) Grab apps on my mobile device. What should I do?
- The Grab (MyTeksi) app will stop working on 31st July 2017. Uninstall the Grab (MyTeksi) app on your device. All your bookings should be done via the Grab app moving forward to continue enjoying our services.
