Submit missing locations with the Map Your City feature and earn rewards as you go!
The Map Your City feature is a feature on the Grab driver app that allows you to earn up to RM1 with every accepted Point Of Interest (POI)* you submit.
To start earning rewards, join the Add Places campaign by following the steps below:
iOS users will see “Add New Places” instead of “Add Places”
*Point Of Interest (POI): POI is a specific location on the map that is used for pick-up or drop-off pins. Missing POIs on the map mean that a venue’s pick-up/drop-off pin is nonexistent in the Grab app.
If you are at a location with missing POI:
1. Click on “Add Places”, zoom in and move the pin around if needed to get a more accurate location (if you want to go back to your current location, click the button).
2. Click the “Add This Place” button to start submitting.
3. Enter the details of the location & submit relevant pictures to support your submission.
If you want to submit missing POIs around the area you’re in:
1. Tap the “Show Missing Places” button to see missing POIs around you (if you want to go back to your current location, click the button).
2. Once you’ve selected a location, click the “Yes, Add” button to start submitting.
3. Enter the details of the location & submit relevant pictures to support your submission.

Once you’ve submitted a new POI, our internal team will review the submission. This process usually takes around 7 to 21 working days. It may take up to additional 25-30 working days before you can see the submitted POI reflected in the Grab app.
If the new POI meets the requirements, it will be accepted. Please note that only accepted POI submissions are eligible for rewards. New POI requirements are as below:
New POI Requirements:
1. New POI (nonexistent before)
2. Correct name and spelling (please indicate area name for POI that has many branches)
3. Correct and full address
4. Accurate location
5. Not a duplicate of any existing POI
6. Submission includes pictures for faster reviewing process
7. Pictures are not from the internet and must be related to the POI
Once you are eligible, the payout will be credited into your cash wallet.
IMPORTANT: To be eligible for the rewards, you are required to achieve the minimum number of accepted POIs during the campaign period. To see the number you need to achieve, click the Help button at the top right corner on the Map Your City page and go to Add places > About the campaign.On the Map Your City page, click on “Contributions” to view all of your POI submissions. There are 4 tabs to indicate the status of your submissions:
• All: The total number of submissions
• In Review: Your submissions that are being reviewed
• Accepted: Your submissions that have been verified and approved
• Not Accepted: Your submissions that are rejected due to insufficient or incorrect data

The reviewing process usually takes around 7 to 21 working days.
You will receive the reward for every accepted POI via your cash wallet. The rewards amount will be shown in your weekly statement as the payment will be done on a weekly basis. If you do not receive your payment, please reach out to us via Help Centre for further assistance.
Your submission may be rejected due to insufficient or incorrect data. Please refer to the ‘Not accepted’ tab in “Contributions” to find out more.
Here are some of the tips to increase your chances of getting your submission approved.
• Use the button on the Add New Places page to check on existing POIs in the area.
• Ensure that the name and address of the place are correct.
• The name of the place must not contain inappropriate words or unknown characters: e.g. $%^&*(
• Upload a clear and accurate photo of the place you are submitting.The reviewing process usually takes around 7 to 21 working days. It may take up to additional 25-30 working days before you can see the submitted POI reflected in the Grab app.
