Visit the Grab Training Portal and register for the PSV Training by selecting your preferred date.

*Only our Grab Driver Centre (GDC) in Petaling Jaya, Penang & Johor Bahru offers PSV Training.
*Alternatively, you can register for your PSV Training at a Driving Institute (Institut Memandu) near you.

You will have to pay RM150 upon registration. Payment shall be made via the Grab Training Portal.

*Fees will be fully reimbursed by Grab upon completion of 30 transport trips in your home city within 30 days from date of account activation.
*Fees reimbursed for PSV Training completed at Driving Institutes (Institut Memandu) within:-

Klang Valley are capped at RM100
Penang are capped at RM120
Johor Bahru are capped at RM150

Note: subject to completing 30 transport trips in your home city within 30 days from date of account activation.

You will have to pay upon registering. The amount will vary according to Driving Institutes.

*The total fees will be fully reimbursed by Grab when you visit our recommended Driving Institutes (for a limited time only and depending on cities) and upon completion of 30 transport trips in your home city within 30 days from date of account activation.

For new Driver-Partner, Grab will verify the documents during your onboarding process.

You will receive the one-off PSV reimbursement within 14 working days after completing 30 transport trips in your home city within 30 days from the date of your account activation.

How do you get an
E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP)?

An E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) is a permit that allows your private vehicle to operate as an E-Hailing Vehicle.

*Sarawak Driver-Partners, if your vehicle is 3 years and older—you are required to pass a PUSPAKOM inspection before you can get your E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP).

Grab will apply for an E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) on your behalf (worth RM160) after submission.

Notification of Activation

You will receive a notification from Grab if your account has been activated.

You can view your E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) status in your Driver profile.

Collect and Display E-Hailing Stickers

Once your account has been activated, collect your E-Hailing Stickers (2 per person) at the nearest kiosk or Grab Driver Centre (GDC) in your city.

How to Get
E-Hailing Insurance?

E-Hailing Insurance covers loss or damage to your vehicle, liability to passengers and third-party, as well as personal accident coverage while you are operating as an E-Hailing Driver-Partner.

*E-Hailing Insurance is another requirement from the Ministry of Transport. This is separate from your private motor insurance and provides coverage for E-Hailing jobs.

How Do I Complete the PUSPAKOM
Vehicle Inspection?

The PUSPAKOM Vehicle Inspection is conducted to certify if your vehicle is fit to operate as an E-Hailing Vehicle.

*Only vehicles 3 years and older are required to undergo a PUSPAKOM Vehicle Inspection.
*If your vehicle is below 3 years old, you do not have to undergo a PUSPAKOM Vehicle Inspection to start driving in your E-Hailing Vehicle.

When registering, pick ‘Individual’ for the Account type.
When creating your appointment,
1. Pick ‘Persendirian E-Hailing’ for the Usage Class and
2. Pick ‘Berkala Pertama E-Hailing’ for Inspection Type.

Pass the PUSPAKOM Inspection

If your vehicle passes the inspection, you will receive a document and inspection certification sticker certifying that your vehicle is fit for E-Hailing.

Note: New GrabCar driver-partners will be eligible for a reimbursement of RM70 from Grab for their first Puspakom E-Hailing vehicle inspection.

*Grab Driver-partners must submit their PUSPAKOM approved Certificate through In-Apps Document Uploader feature in the Grab Driver App within 30 days of their account activation and complete 30 trips.

Ensure Compliance

Always stay compliant with the Ministry of Transport’s regulations as an E-Hailing Driver-Partner:

Display the E-Hailing Sticker on the front and rear windscreen of your vehicle.
Always carry your PSV License with you.
Display the PUSPAKOM Certification on the front windscreen of your vehicle (for vehicles 3 years or older).
Remember where to locate your E-hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP) status in the Grab Driver app.

*Sarawak requires a printed copy of your E-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP). You can visit the Grab Driver Centre to have it printed. If your city does not have a Grab Driver Centre, you will receive an email or in-app message with further instructions.
