Verify Your Account

As an eWallet regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia, GrabPay is required to verify our customers’ identities in a process called KYC (Know Your Customers) to keep the platform more secure. By completing this 2-step verification, you will have access to a full range of Grab services.

Step 1: Confirm Your Identity

  1. Tap on ‘Check it Out’

  2. Enter your Full Name as in your ID

  3. Enter the number on your identity document (MyKad or passport) and tap on ‘Submit’

  4. You are now able to perform cashless payment!

Step 2: Upgrade Your Wallet

  1. Tap on ‘Upgrade Now’

  2. Take a photo of your MyKad or Passport

  3. Money transfer is now enabled! Please wait for your document to be verified before upgrade is successful

Tips for taking a good photograph:

  1. Take a complete picture of your document
  2. Make sure details are not blurred out
  3. Make sure you are in a well lit room
  4. Submit a valid ID/document
