The differences between a basic and premium GrabPay Wallet:

  • Basic GrabPay Wallet can hold a maximum balance of RM500; Premium GrabPay Wallet can hold a maximum balance of RM1,500. More info

Malaysians with a premium GrabPay Wallet will be eligible for this campaign.

Anyone without a premium GrabPay Wallet (i.e. a basic GrabPay Wallet or without a GrabPay Wallet) will NOT be eligible for this campaign.

Users with a Basic GrabPay Wallet or without a GrabPay Wallet can upgrade to a premium GrabPay Wallet and thus be eligible for this campaign.

The GrabPay Wallet verification process takes 2-3 working days. Upon approval, as a referrer, you will be able to transfer funds your GrabPay Wallet balance to your referee.

Unfortunately, as a referrer, you will not be notified about the referee’s upgrade to a premium GrabPay Wallet status. Only the referee will be notified of their application status via the referee’s Grab app.

Few possible reasons as below:

  • Application to upgrade to a premium GrabPay Wallet is still pending, verification process usually takes 2-3 working days for approval.
  • Application to upgrade to a premium GrabPay Wallet failed or was rejected.
  • Other reasons as stated here

An explanation was given in your referee’s Grab app on why their application failed or got rejected, and the next steps needed. 

To find out more, your referee can open the Grab app, tap on “Payments” then tap on “Review your details”. Refer screenshots below for reference on examples of why their application failed or got rejected (retake a photo of ID or retake a live selfie with ID).

No, there is no limit on the amount of referees you can invite. However the campaign is limited to 15,000 successful referral (30,000,000 GrabRewards Points) on a first come, first serve basis.

Yes, the campaign will end once the maximum collective allocation of 30,000,000 GrabRewards Points (15,000 successful referrals) is reached.

Unfortunately, there is no real-time tracking that allows you to check the number of completed referee invites.

No, you may send any amount in MYR to your referee through GrabPay Wallet.

All referrers will be notified either in writing or social media or any other method of communications which Grab deems appropriate by 31 Aug 2021.

As long as both the below happens within the campaign period, you will be entitled to the bonus GrabRewards Points.

  • Your referees’ application to upgrade to premium GrabPay Wallet is submitted within the campaign period & approved.
  • You are the first person to transfer funds to the referee via GrabPay Wallet within the campaign period.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Campaign is only valid from 15 July 2021, 12.00AM to 14 August 2021, 11.59PM.
  2. Campaign is only valid in Malaysia and for Malaysians only. 
  3. Campaign is valid for anyone with a premium GrabPay Wallet who refers (“Referrer”) a new user (“Referee”) who signs up for a premium GrabPay Wallet. Subsequently the Referrer will need to transfer at least RM0.01 to the Referee via GrabPay Wallet during the campaign period to be eligible for 2,000 GrabRewards Points (“Prize”) per successful referral.
  4. Prizes are limited to a maximum collective allocation of 30,000,000 GrabRewards Points (15,000 successful referrals x 2,000 GrabRewards Points).
  5. Campaign will end at the end of the campaign period, or when the available prizes have been fully awarded, whichever earlier. Prizes are awarded on a first come first served basis and while stocks last only.
  6. Grab does not have any obligation to inform the user in the event prizes has reached the maximum redemption throughout the campaign period during or before the end of the campaign period. 
  7. Prizes will be awarded to all Referrers within 10 working days from the campaign end date. The fulfilment is expected to be completed latest by 31 Aug 2021. GrabRewards Points awarded can be viewed under “Points History” on the Grab app.
  8. There is no limit to the number of Referees one Referrer can invite but campaign is limited to 15,000 successful referral (30,000,000 GrabRewards Points) on a first come, first serve basis.
  9. In the event there are multiple referrals to one Referee, the first Referrer to transfer at least RM0.01 to the Referee via GrabPay Wallet will be considered the Referrer, thus be entitled to receive the prize.
  10. GrabRewards Points issued from this campaign will not contribute to a GrabRewards tier upgrade, and no extensions of validity will be entertained.
  11. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or replacements.
  12. Any user who terminates their GrabPay Wallet during the campaign period shall be automatically disqualified from this campaign & shall not be entitled to the prizes.
  13. Grab reserves the right to alter, extend or terminate the promotion, or amend the terms and conditions at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes directly or indirectly arising from the promotion, the decision of Grab shall be final.
  14. Grab reserves the right to investigate winners’ referrals for fraud / gaming and GrabRewards Points earned will be forfeited or revoked if the winner is found to violate the Terms & Conditions.
  15. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and any dispute arising out of or in connection with promotion shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Malaysia.

1. Campaign period is from 15 January 2022 (12:00am) – 28 February 2022 (11.59pm).
2. GrabPay users are eligible for a “RM8 rebate” in your “My Rewards” when you spend a minimum of RM88 on a single receipt via GrabPay Wallet.
3. The offer of “RM8 rebate” is limited to a total of 62,500 redemptions throughout the campaign period.
4. Offer is valid for TWO (2) in-store redemptions with a cap of ONE(1) redemption per user per day throughout the campaign. Shared across AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, and AEON Wellness throughout the campaign period. 
5. The “RM8 rebate” will be awarded instantly with a minimum transaction of RM88 with GrabPay at all outlets of AEON Co, AEON BiG, AEON MaxValu Prime, AEON Wellness; The rebate can be found under “My Rewards”. Rebate must be redeemed by clicking “use now” under “My Rewards” 30 days from the date of issuance.
6. The campaign will cease once all redemptions have been fully awarded or at the expiration of the campaign period, whichever is earlier.
7. Offer is based on a first come first served and while stocks last basis only.
8. Grab and AEON Group shall not be under any obligation to inform users, on any communication channels once the offer has been fully redeemed.
