We created AudioProtect with that same idea in mind. It records audio during Grab rides, in hopes that everyone will be a little friendlier to each other—now that they know that someone (or in this case, AudioProtect) is listening.
How does AudioProtect work?
Just think of AudioProtect as an extra pal with you. It helps prevent in-person safety incidents from happening by recording audio in rides. The recordings also help give us a fuller picture, which allows us to resolve incidents more quickly.
It puts privacy first.
All recordings are encrypted, and will only be used to settle incidents.
It destroys recordings after 5 days.
If no incidents are reported—BOOM! Gone.
Turn it off anytime.
You can control which rides you want to record. Just toggle off to disable audio recording.
No consent, no go. For it to work, both passengers and driver-partners need to enable AudioProtect.
