A requirement from the Ministry of Transport. This is separate from your private motor insurance and provides coverage for e-hailing jobs.

You have to decide between purchasing annual E-hailing insurance or opting for daily E-hailing insurance. You can choose either one of them. Refer to the table below:

  • Download from here.
  • Must be signed by the vehicle owner.
  • Only required if your name is not stated on the Insurance Cover Note and under the All/Any Drivers Policy.
  • E-hailing vehicles that are 3 years old and above require a Puspakom E-hailing vehicle inspection. This certification, demanded by the Ministry of Transport, ensures the vehicles’ suitability for e-hailing. Be aware that the authorities can enforce strict actions if your e-hailing vehicle is not certified.
  • There is no requirement to upload this certification to your Grab Driver App.
  1. Submit your documents via the Grab Driver app.
  2. Tap on the pencil icon in the top right corner of your “Account” tab.
  3. Navigate to “Documents” to update relevant documents, then click “Submit”.
  4. Check the inbox of your Grab Driver App for the document status.
  5. Ensure you upload accurate and clear documents. If your submission gets rejected, tap “Updates Needed” to identify the reasons for rejection and to reupload your document.

Note:
We will verify and update your account within 1-3 working days upon submission. (For license updates, this will be completed within 1 working day.)

Important:
You are still required to drive with a valid PSV License, E-hailing insurance, road tax, EVP and Puspakom Certificate (if vehicle is 3 years and/or above) at all times to comply with traffic laws.

You should only request to change vehicles when you want to use a new car to drive with Grab.

Step 1:

Submit your vehicle change request via the Grab driver app. Please refer to the steps below.

 

Step 2:

If your vehicle is registered with an EVP, please submit an EVP cancellation request via both forms below.

Note: Steps 1 and 2 can be carried out simultaneously.

 

Step 3:

After obtaining the form copy from Grab, carry out the Pemeriksaan Khas (B2) at PUSPAKOM.

 

Step 4:

You will see the ‘Pending Review’ status once you have successfully submitted your request. If your submission is rejected, tap ‘Updates Needed’ to find out the reason for rejection and re-upload the correct document. Make sure that the text in your documents can be seen clearly.

 

Step 5:

Grab will apply for an EVP on your behalf if the new vehicle meets the e-hailing criteria.

 

Step 6:

You will receive an in-app notification once your request has been approved.

Peninsular – APAD : 5 working days

Sabah – LPKP : 2 months

Sarawak – LPKP : 1 month


E-Hailing Driver-Partners

The processing for new plate changes on the EVP application will take approximately 5 working days for Peninsular Malaysia. Please check your inbox and refresh your Driver Apps to verify if the new vehicle details are reflected.

Important: We can only update your vehicle when you are not online with bookings (In-transit) and are located in your registered city.

While utilizing this feature, all account details correspond to your Home City. Ensure that all updates, such as changes to your registered vehicle, are made while you’re located in your Home City. Otherwise, these changes will not be reflected until you return to your Home City.
