Self Pick-up
It’s almost lunchtime and you’re on your way back to the office. You open the Grab app and go to GrabFood, tap on the ‘Self Pick-up’ category to place an order We will keep innovating to bring more differentiated and value-added experiences at one of our 20,000 participating merchants. Designed to save time, ‘Self Pick-up’ lets consumers order through the Grab app - and enjoy the perks of GrabRewards and the convenience of OVO - to beat the queue at their favourite eateries, all without having to pay an additional fee.
Self Pick-up is currently available in selected areas in Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, and Yogyakarta.

The best part? You can do all these on-the-go in the comfort of your Grab ride.!

Order in groups
Observing a shift towards group ordering, GrabFood’s new “Order with Friends” featurewill enable a member of the group to start a food basket in the app, set an order limit for the group, and send a digital link to invite friends to add to the basket using their own Grab app. No more going around collecting orders from people! This feature will be rolled out in phases from May onwards.
Commenting on the new features, Koe said: “GrabFood has come a long way in the last two years. A large part of our success is attributed to our desire to continuously enhance our service to meet customers’ evolving needs. Food delivery, to us, goes beyond bringing merchants online and delivering orders efficiently. It's about finding unique ways to add value to consumers and merchants. In 2019, GrabFood saw a 4.8x growth in gross merchandise value (GMV) gross merchandise value (GMV) and a 2.1x increase in active users.
