Jakarta, 23 October 2017 Induk Koperasi Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (INKOPPOL) today announces strategic partnership with Grab, Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand transportation and mobile payments platform. In line with INKOPPOL’s mission to develop various services, this strategic partnership paves way for consumers to enjoy more convenience upon arriving at Indonesia’s busiest airport, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (SHIA). Passengers arriving at SHIA will be able to continue their journey conveniently by visiting Grab’s pick-up point and order safe, reliable transportation through GrabCar. Seven pick-up points that will be provided in stages will be spread through the three terminals within the airport.

“Our goal is to become a legal entity that facilitates online ride-hailing platform. This strategic partnership is a very good example and will set the standard for the future of ride-hailing presence within public facilities in Indonesia. Beyond facilitating the presence of Grab in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, we also equip the drivers with advance knowledge in traffic safety that goes perfectly in line with Grab’s main value. We are thrilled to explore further opportunities with Grab to create a better transportation environment,” says Irjen Pol (p) Mudji Waluyo, Head of Divtro Inkoppol.

Passengers accessing Grab application from SHIA will have access to GrabNow that offers a seamless way to book GrabCar. By the time the passenger arrives at the special queuing line, which is as easily accessible as the conventional taxi line, a INKOPPOL – Grab representative will be ready to assist, along with a personal dispatcher to help passengers with the luggage. Passengers will surely get the approved GrabCar tariff according to application at the beginning and at the same time provide reasonable price assurance.

“Air travel can be very exhausting for passengers, especially when it’s a long-haul flight. GrabCar has been a very popular method for travelers going to and from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport since we introduced the service. With INKOPPOL, we bring GrabCar closer to our customers with the presence of special fleets spread through three terminals in the nation’s busiest airport. This partnership emphasizes convenience and more importantly, safety for our customers. Passengers leaving the airport can visit the easily-accessible, INKOPPOL – Grab pick-up points and dial in their destination with the ease of the new GrabNow,” says Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director of Grab Indonesia.

GrabCar fleets available for the order can be easily identified with a distinctive INKOPPOL sticker on the rear window. Upon finishing the trip from the airport, the driver can directly drive back to the airport to pick up more passengers. Before departing, INKOPPOL – Grab representative will issue a ticket as a proof of travel. Passengers will be subject to convenience fee based on their destination zone.

Dewando Prasetyo Nugroho, Branch Communication Manager Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Main Branch Office, also expresses his fondness towards this collaboration. “Soekarno-Hatta Airport Main Branch Office will provide special facilities for online taxi drivers who are registered in Induk Koperasi Kepolisian (Inkoppol). Online taxi drivers who have been members of the cooperative of Inkoppol were previously required to have SIM A (driver’s license) and special uniforms. In addition, the vehicle must have a designated Soekarno-Hatta Airport sticker and have already done the feasibility test or KIR.”

Grab official pick-up point is available starting October 23rd 2017 at Terminal 1A, 1B, 1C, and 2F SHIA. Three additional pick-up points at Terminal 2D, 2E, and 3 will be open at a later date. “Opening more opportunities for new transportation modes is part of our effort to give our best for SHIA visitors. We will work harder to help strengthen the airport’s transportation system,” Irjen Pol (p) Mudji Waluyo closed.
