Game Info
Hearts is a simple, classic card game. 13 cards are dealt to each of four players. The player with the 2 of clubs plays the first card. Then, moving clockwise around the table, each player plays one card, playing a card of the same suit as the first card played, if possible. The player the highest card wins the trick (the "trick" is comprised of the four cards played). The winner of the previous trick plays the first card of the next trick. This continues until all players have run out of cards, a new hand is dealt, and the process repeats. The object of the game is to get as few points as possible. Players gain points when they take trick that contains hearts, or the queen of spades. Each heart taken is one point, and the Queen of spades is a whopping 13 points. If a single player takes all 13 hearts cards, and the queen of spades, the effect on the scoring is reversed all other players receive 26 points. This is called "shooting the moon."
